Dakota Hawkins is an associate of the firm in the Shreveport office.  He assists firm clients primarily in the areas of Energy & Natural Resources, Oil & Gas Title, and Commercial & Business Litigation.

Dakota was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, where he graduated from Bastrop High School. He then graduated cum laude from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a minor in Criminal Justice, and as an Honors Program graduate. Dakota received his Juris Doctorate, Degree in Comparative Law, and Energy Certificate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA in 2018. While in law school, Dakota was an extern for the Honorable Judge Brian A. Jackson, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana. In addition, before attending law school, Dakota served as an Infantry Rifleman (0311) for the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 2012 – 2015.
