T. Haller Jackson III is a Shreveport native, having attended Byrd High School before enrolling at Washington and Lee University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973. He then received his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law School in 1976.

Mr. Jackson served as law clerk to United States District Judge Ben C. Dawkins, Jr. and served as a partner in Tucker, Jeter, Jackson and Hickman. He has a general civil practice including concentrations in estate planning and probate, mass tort and class actions, environmental law, and corporate and business matters.

Mr. Jackson is the past president of the Shreveport Bar Association and chaired both the Disciplinary Board and the Ethics Advisory Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He has served continuously in the area of ethics, having served on the Shreveport Bar Association Ethics Committee, as well as the Ethics Committee during law school and during undergraduate education.

On the civic front, he has been president of the Shreve Memorial Library Board of Control, the St. Mark’s Cathedral School Board, the YMCA Metro Board, the Family Counseling and Children’s Services Board, the Council and Board of Trustees of First United Methodist Church in Shreveport, as well as President of the Shreveport Club. Additionally, he is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting and fly-fishing.
